East meets West when Jason Harrod and Shannon Stephens appear at Fort Flagler State Park. Jason, from Brooklyn NY via Durham NC, draws from the best traditions of American music to create a sound all his own. His songs about lost love, found joys, and spiritual longing have garnered him a loyal following across the country. Shannon from Seattle, via Michigan, was born into a musical family where he father sponsored "hootenanny" for family friends featuring banjos and guitars playing old church hymns and traditional "American" music which she evolved into "Folk, Blues" Both Jason and Shannon began their musical career either with partners or bands but decided after a short time and some success to branch out on their own and produce their own uniquer sounds.
